Nail Bed Rebuilt With A Graft

West Virginia rates for HCPCS 11762

Rebuilds the skin surface under a fingernail or toenail using a piece of tissue taken from elsewhere and laid into the defect, so a new nail has a smooth base to grow from. It is used when the nail bed has been lost or badly scarred after a crush injury, a cut, or removal of a growth. Without a graft the replacement nail tends to grow split, ridged, or not at all.
