Complicated Drainage Of A Pilonidal Cyst

Vermont rates for HCPCS 10081

Opens and drains an infected pilonidal cyst — a painful pocket that forms in the cleft at the top of the buttocks, usually around trapped hair. This is the more involved version, used when the abscess is large, has several pockets or extra openings, or needs a wider opening and packing of the cavity. The wound is often left open to heal gradually from the base up.
