Catheter Ultrasound Nerve Treatment In Lung Arteries

Delaware rates for HCPCS 0632T

A thin tube is passed through a vein and up into the arteries that carry blood from the heart to the lungs, where ultrasound energy is delivered to interrupt nerves running in the artery walls. Those nerves help drive pressure up in the lung circulation, so quieting them is intended to bring that pressure down. Pressure readings from the right side of the heart and dye pictures of the lung arteries are taken in the same session to guide the treatment.
