Uses a laser to make tiny channels through the eye's own drainage tissue so fluid can leave the eye more easily and the pressure inside falls. It treats glaucoma, where pressure that stays too high slowly damages the nerve carrying sight from the eye, and it works through the eye's existing drainage angle rather than creating a new opening through the outer wall.
