Preparing Fat-Derived Cells For Hand Treatment

Delaware rates for HCPCS 0489T

Fat tissue is taken from the patient, usually through a small liposuction, and processed in the laboratory to separate out the cells that will be used for treatment. The tissue is broken down, non-viable cells and debris are removed, and the remaining cells are counted and prepared at the right concentration. This service covers the harvesting and preparation only; injecting the cells is done separately.
