An in-person session in which an implanted retinal electrode array, a device that stimulates the retina to create visual perceptions in people with severe sight loss, is connected to, evaluated and programd. The clinician works through the stimulation settings with the patient, adjusting them repeatedly according to what the patient reports seeing, and documents the settings chosen. This is the initial setting up and evaluation of the system.
