A heart ultrasound in which a contrast agent is injected into a vein so that blood flowing through the heart muscle itself can be seen, not just the chambers. It is used to judge whether parts of the muscle are getting enough blood, either at rest or while the heart is stressed. It is billed in addition to the ultrasound itself.
