A doctor threads a thin tube (catheter) through the blood vessels up into the arteries supplying both kidneys and uses energy delivered through the catheter tip to calm overactive nerves that run along the artery walls. This procedure is used to help lower blood pressure in people with high blood pressure that has not been controlled by medications. This version treats the arteries on both sides.
