DNA Methylation Test For Childhood Disorders

Delaware rates for HCPCS 0318U

Helps diagnose developmental disorders in children that are caused by faulty chemical marking of DNA rather than by spelling changes in the DNA itself. A blood sample is run on a microarray that reads DNA methylation patterns across at least fifty genes. It measures those chemical marks, not the underlying genetic sequence.
