Assesses whether a person's risk of lung cancer is raised or lowered. Fluorescent probes are applied to cells from a whole blood sample to examine four chromosome regions — 3q29, 3p22.1, 10q22.3 and 10cen — and the finding is reported as a single risk call in one of two directions, increased or decreased.
