Blood Protein Score For Heart Event Risk

Montana rates for HCPCS 0309U

Estimates a person's risk of a major cardiac event such as a heart attack. Four proteins in a blood plasma sample — NT-proBNP, osteopontin, TIMP-1 and KIM-1 — are measured and combined by a formula into a single risk score. The score is built from those four protein measurements alone, with no clinical details about the patient added in.
