DNA Gene Profile Of A Solid Tumor Sample

Vermont rates for HCPCS 0244U

A test for people with a solid tumor that examines 257 genes in a sample of tumor tissue for cancer-related genetic changes. The analysis is DNA-only: it reads the genes themselves and does not measure RNA, the molecule that shows how active a gene is. The material tested is tumor tissue preserved in wax after surgery or a biopsy.
