Transanal Endoscopic Removal Of Rectal Tumor

Wyoming rates for HCPCS 0184T

A surgeon removes a growth from the rectum by working through a special magnifying scope inserted through the anus, avoiding the need for an abdominal incision. This full-thickness technique removes the growth along with the deeper layer of the rectal wall beneath it, which can offer a more thorough removal than a simple surface excision. It is generally reserved for larger or higher-lying rectal growths that would otherwise require more extensive surgery.
