Tracks how much of the BCR-ABL1 abnormality remains in someone being treated for a blood cancer such as chronic myeloid leukemia, which shows how well treatment is working. The test measures the amount of the fused BCR-ABL1 message in RNA and covers both the major and the minor breakpoint forms. Blood or a bone-marrow sample can be used.
