Impacted Tooth Removal – Fully in Bone

Rhode Island rates for HCPCS D7240

Surgical removal of a tooth that has not erupted and is completely surrounded by jawbone, most often a wisdom tooth. The dentist or oral surgeon must open the gum and remove bone to access and take out the tooth, sometimes sectioning it into pieces first. This is the most involved category of impacted-tooth extraction because none of the tooth has broken through the gum.
