Impacted Tooth Removal – Partly In Bone

West Virginia rates for HCPCS D7230

Surgical removal of a tooth that is partly covered by jawbone and partly by gum tissue, meaning only part of it has to be uncovered by removing bone before it can be taken out. This falls between a soft-tissue impaction, where the tooth is only covered by gum, and a fully bony impaction, where the entire tooth is encased in bone. The gum is opened and a portion of surrounding bone is removed to free the tooth.
