Moderate Sedation By A Second Doctor

Nationwide rates for HCPCS 99149

Moderate sedation given to an older child, teenager, or adult by a doctor other than the one performing the procedure. The medication leaves the patient drowsy and comfortable but still breathing without help and able to respond, while the sedating doctor's attention stays on monitoring. It covers the first block of sedation time; longer sedation is billed separately.
