Sedation given to a young child by the same doctor who is performing the procedure, using medication that leaves the child drowsy and comfortable but still able to respond and breathe on their own. A trained staff member watches breathing, heart rate, and oxygen level the whole time. It covers the first block of sedation time; longer sedation is billed separately.
