Each further block of roughly half an hour spent adjusting the settings of an implanted stimulator that acts on a cranial nerve, once the first hour of programming has been used. The clinician alters the strength, timing and pattern of the electrical pulses and checks the response to each change. It is billed in addition to the main programming service.
