This covers a basic, lower-channel-count brain-wave recording performed continuously over a 24-hour period, without a technologist actively watching in real time, to help locate the area of the brain where seizures are starting. The recorded data is reviewed afterward by a physician. This is a more limited version of continuous seizure monitoring compared to setups that combine many recording channels with video.
