Cardiac Output Measurement By Dilution

New Mexico rates for HCPCS 93561

A measurement of how much blood the heart pumps each minute. A known amount of dye or of cooled fluid is injected into the bloodstream through a thin tube placed in a vein or artery, and a sensor tracks how much it has been diluted by the time it arrives downstream. Placing the tube is part of the service.
