Finding Sperm in an Aspirated Sample

A laboratory examines fluid drawn directly from the male reproductive tract with a fine needle, rather than an ejaculated semen sample, and searches it under the microscope for sperm. Any sperm found are identified and prepared for use in fertility treatment. It is used when sperm cannot be collected in the usual way.
