Inner Ear Sac Surgery Without a Drainage Tube

Wyoming rates for HCPCS 69805

This surgery relieves pressure on the endolymphatic sac, a small fluid-regulating structure deep in the inner ear, without placing a permanent drainage tube. It is used to treat Meniere's disease, a condition causing vertigo, hearing changes, and ringing in the ear thought to be linked to excess inner-ear fluid pressure. The surgeon exposes and decompresses the sac through an incision behind the ear.
