Placement Of An Eye Implant After Prior Eye Removal

Washington, DC rates for HCPCS 65135

This procedure places an artificial implant into the eye socket at a later time after the eye itself was previously surgically removed. The implant helps restore volume and shape to the socket, providing a base over which a custom prosthetic eye can later be fitted. It is a secondary procedure performed sometime after the original eye-removal surgery, rather than at the same time.
