Sacroiliac Joint Nerve Injection with Imaging Guidance

Wyoming rates for HCPCS 64451

This is an injection of numbing medication and often a steroid around the small nerves that supply the sacroiliac joint, the joint connecting the base of the spine to the pelvis, guided by live X-ray or CT imaging to place the needle precisely. It is used both to help diagnose whether this joint is a source of low back pain and to reduce pain and inflammation.
