Removal Of Skene's Gland

This procedure surgically removes one or both small glands located just inside the opening of the female urethra, known as Skene's glands. It is done when one of these glands becomes persistently infected, blocked, or forms a painful cyst or abscess that does not resolve with simpler treatment. Removing the gland relieves pain, swelling, and recurrent infection in that area.
