Bladder Channel To The Skin Using The Appendix

North Dakota rates for HCPCS 50845

Builds a narrow channel between the bladder and an opening on the surface of the abdomen, using the appendix as the tube. The person then empties the bladder by passing a thin catheter through that opening instead of through the urethra. It is done for people who cannot empty the bladder normally, often because of a nerve or spinal condition.
