Ureter Stent Placed Through The Skin

Places a thin drainage tube, called a stent, into the ureter, the tube that carries urine from the kidney to the bladder, working through a puncture in the skin over the kidney under imaging guidance. The route into the kidney is created during this same session. The stent keeps urine draining past a blockage.
