Drainage Tube Placed Into The Ureter Through The Back

Arizona rates for HCPCS 50393

Placement of a thin drainage tube or stent into the ureter, the tube that carries urine from the kidney down to the bladder, working from a puncture in the skin over the kidney rather than through an incision or from below. Imaging guides the tube into the kidney's collecting system and down the ureter so urine can drain past a blockage, or so medication or contrast can be delivered there.
