Keyhole surgery for a hernia that has come back at the site of an earlier surgical scar, where the bulging tissue has become stuck or has lost its blood supply. Through small incisions the surgeon separates scar tissue from the previous operation, frees and returns the trapped contents, and reinforces the weakened scar, usually with mesh.
