Keyhole Repair Of Trapped Ventral Hernia

Vermont rates for HCPCS 49653

Keyhole surgery to fix a hernia in the front wall of the abdomen — at the navel, above it, or off to the side — where the bulging tissue has become stuck and cannot be pushed back, or has had its blood supply pinched off. Through small incisions the surgeon frees the trapped tissue, returns it to the abdomen and closes the weak spot, usually reinforcing it with mesh.
