Bile Duct Dye Study Through An Existing Tube

Kentucky rates for HCPCS 47505

Contrast dye is injected into the bile ducts through a drain or tube that is already in place, so X-ray pictures can show the duct system. It is commonly done after gallbladder or duct surgery to confirm that the ducts are clear and draining before the tube is taken out. No new puncture is needed.
