Anal Canal Scope Removal Of A Polyp By Snare

Nebraska rates for HCPCS 46611

Using a short scope inserted into the anal canal, a doctor removes a single polyp or growth by looping a thin wire snare around its base and removing it. This allows the growth to be identified and removed in the same visit. It is used when a polyp is found during an examination of the anal canal itself, rather than higher up in the rectum or colon.
