Saliva Duct Rerouting With One Gland Removed

New Mexico rates for HCPCS 42508

An operation to control severe drooling. The ducts carrying saliva from the glands in front of both ears are rerouted so that saliva empties further back in the mouth and is swallowed rather than spilling out, and one of the glands under the jaw is taken out during the same operation. Cutting down and redirecting the saliva that reaches the front of the mouth is what stops the drooling.
