Stent to Open a Blocked Thigh or Knee Artery

Vermont rates for HCPCS 37226

A catheter is threaded to a narrowed or blocked artery in the thigh or behind the knee, and a small metal mesh tube is expanded inside the vessel to hold it open. Ballooning the vessel is included when it is needed to prepare or finish the treatment. It treats one leg and restores blood flow that has been choked off by hardening of the arteries.
