Reopens a narrowed or blocked artery in the thigh or behind the knee by shaving or drilling away hardened plaque from inside the vessel, using a device on the tip of a catheter threaded in through a small puncture. Balloon widening of the same vessel is included when it is also carried out. It covers treatment on one side.
