Balloon Widening Of A Blocked Thigh Or Knee Artery

Vermont rates for HCPCS 37224

Reopens a narrowed femoral or popliteal artery, the main vessels running down the thigh and behind the knee, by threading a balloon catheter to the narrowing and inflating it to press the blockage outward against the vessel wall. No mesh stent is left behind. It treats cramping leg pain on walking, pain at rest, or wounds that will not heal.
