Implanted Chest Port Placement, Under Age 5

Wyoming rates for HCPCS 36560

This procedure places a small device called a port entirely under the skin, usually in the chest, connected to a tube that runs into a large vein near the heart. It gives repeated access to the bloodstream for treatments such as chemotherapy or long-term medication without needing a new needle stick into a vein each time. This version is used for patients younger than age five.
