Open Balloon Widening Of An Organ Artery

Maryland rates for HCPCS 35450

Widening of a narrowed artery that supplies an organ in the abdomen, such as a kidney, by inflating a small balloon inside the vessel. In this version the surgeon makes an incision and exposes the artery directly, then passes the balloon into the vessel through that opening. Opening the narrowing restores blood flow to the organ the artery feeds.
