Neck Artery Transfer During Aortic Stent Repair

Alaska rates for HCPCS 33889

An open operation through an incision in the neck that detaches the artery running towards the arm and reattaches it to the main artery of the neck. It is carried out together with a stent-graft repair of the chest aorta, because the stent seals over the point where the arm artery originally branched off and its blood supply has to be re-established from elsewhere.
