Removal of a Small Heart Rhythm Monitor

This covers the surgical removal of a small device that was previously implanted just under the skin of the chest to continuously monitor the heart's rhythm. It is done once the monitor is no longer needed, such as after enough information has been gathered or the battery is depleted. The device is removed through a small incision in a brief outpatient procedure.
