Shortening or Lengthening the Upper Arm Bone

Reshapes the upper arm bone to change its length, either by removing a segment to shorten it or by separating it and filling the gap so it grows longer. The bone is held with a plate, rod, or external frame while it heals. It is used to even out a difference in arm length or to correct a deformity.
