Bone Cement Injection Into A Mid-Back Vertebra

Vermont rates for HCPCS 22520

Bone cement is injected through a needle into a collapsed spinal bone in the part of the back that carries the ribs. The cement hardens inside the bone, stabilizing the fracture and relieving pain. It is done through the skin under X-ray guidance rather than through an open incision, and covers one spinal bone.
