Moving One Eye Socket Into A Corrected Position

Arkansas rates for HCPCS 21267

Moves one eye socket as a whole unit into a corrected position, by cutting the bone all the way around the socket, shifting it, and packing grafts of the patient's own bone into the gaps that result. It is used when one socket sits too far to the side, too high, or too low compared with the other, from a birth difference or an old injury. The bone cuts are made from outside the skull rather than through the space around the brain.
