Midface Reconstruction With Bone Grafting

Washington, DC rates for HCPCS 21147

A major craniofacial surgery that repositions the upper jaw and midface bones, cut and moved as three or more separate pieces, to correct a significant facial skeletal deformity or misalignment. The surgery includes taking bone graft material, often from elsewhere in the patient's own body, to support the repositioned bone segments. It is a more extensive version of midface repositioning surgery, used when the correction requires multiple independently moved bone segments.
