Stitch Removal Under Anesthesia, Same Surgeon

Taking out stitches with the patient sedated or under general anesthesia rather than awake in a clinic. It is used when someone cannot tolerate having them removed otherwise, such as a young child or a patient whose stitches sit in a very sensitive place. The surgeon who put the stitches in removes them.
