Repositioning A Diaphragm Stimulation Lead

Vermont rates for HCPCS 0677T

Surgery through small cuts in the abdomen to move a stimulation lead already attached to the diaphragm to a better spot on the muscle. The lead is freed, resited, secured again and retested, rather than being exchanged for a new one. The system it belongs to stimulates the diaphragm to improve the pumping of a failing heart, so where the lead sits affects how well the therapy works.
