Catheter Placement Of A Pelvic Artery-Vein Implant

New Mexico rates for HCPCS 0553T

An implant is placed through a catheter to create a channel between an artery and a neighbouring vein in the pelvis, so that some blood passes directly from the artery into the vein. Access is through a small puncture in a blood vessel, and the X-ray guidance and imaging needed to complete the work are part of the service.
