Magnetocardiography for Heart Blood Supply

Vermont rates for HCPCS 0541T

A test that records the very faint magnetic fields created by the heart's own electrical activity, using an array of sensors held just above the chest. Nothing is injected, nothing enters the body and no radiation is used; software turns the recording into maps of the heart's electrical currents plus a summary score, which a physician interprets. It is used to look for signs that part of the heart muscle is not receiving enough blood.
