A lead for a blood-pressure stimulation system is implanted or replaced on one side, attached to the carotid sinus, the pressure-sensing patch on the carotid artery in the neck. Only the lead is dealt with; the pulse generator is left as it is. Testing, programming and adjusting the position during the operation are included.
